About Me.
Born and raised in London my passion for photography blossomed at an early age, as a child I have always been visual, I would describe myself as a bit of a dreamer, when watching movies I would dream as a films cinematic montage would start, I love slow motion camera work and hearing the film scores flow In time to it, this made me want to work with a camera so I started to develop film in my bed room and 16 years later my passion is as great as ever and now I teach photography to new enthusiastic starters.
My inspiration comes from creating good compositions, a Magnum photograph is an inspiration, its artistic reportage, I love this idea, that a photo so serious can still contain an artistic element, I remember I would just stare at the work of Henri Cartier-Bresson and Robert Capa. Magnum has had a large influential effect on my style as has modern day war photographerJames Nachtwey.
I love reportage photography and what it means to be on the street capturing the moments that pass by; it’s tough and sometimes dangerous and I think that’s what first caught my eye as a child when I watched the news and looked at photos of Magnum members.
Other styles of photography are still of great interest to me, as much as the industry tends to assign specific photographers to each genre, I continue to practice all forms and demonstrate my versatility,
I enjoy taking photographs of landscapes as much as I do people, I feel I have a style that can be adapted to suit a wide variety of situations and subjects.
