MY SHOP IS MY HOME

“At the end, all that's left of you are your possessions. Perhaps that's why I've never been able to throw anything away. Perhaps that's why I hoarded the world: with the hope that when I died, the sum total of my things would suggest a life larger than the one I lived.” ― Nicole Krauss, The History of Love

In my series, I try to show the emotion and the sadness of these people who cling onto their one love, their shops, I want my images to try and show the years that have passed through these doors,
While doing my series I realised something in common with all the people I had photographed, they were lonely and maybe that explains why it’s so hard to let go.
